How to switch from AccuLynx to EaveWorks

Updated Oct 25, 2026

Last checked: October 24, 2026. We make EaveWorks, a different roofing CRM. Every fact about AccuLynx on this page comes from AccuLynx's own terms and website, or from a named how-to guide, and the sources are listed at the bottom. Your own AccuLynx proposal (your quote) can set different terms, so check it too.

Switching CRMs sounds like a big job. Most of it comes down to three things: knowing your AccuLynx dates, getting your data out while you still have access, and getting it into your new system. EaveWorks moves your data from AccuLynx for free.

The short version

  1. Find your AccuLynx dates. AccuLynx's terms need your cancellation 30 days before your billing period (or annual term) ends.
  2. Try EaveWorks first. The free trial is 30 days, includes every feature, and needs no credit card.
  3. Export your data while your account is active. AccuLynx's terms say it has no obligation to keep your data after you leave.
  4. Send us your files. We bring your data into EaveWorks for free. We never ask for your AccuLynx password.
  5. Cancel AccuLynx in time and keep the confirmation.

What AccuLynx's terms say about leaving (as of October 2026)

AccuLynx's plan page says "No contracts" and offers a monthly option. Its General Terms and Conditions (updated January 23, 2026) still set rules for notice, users and data. In plain English:

Topic What AccuLynx's terms say
What your agreement is Your proposal (the quote AccuLynx gave you) plus the general terms. Your proposal can set your user count, price and term.
Monthly plans They renew automatically every month. You cancel with the Cancel Service button in account settings. To avoid the next monthly charge, AccuLynx has to receive your cancellation 30 days before the current billing period ends.
Annual plans At the end of the year they renew automatically onto monthly billing "at the then standard rates". Prepaid annual fees are not refundable. To stop the renewal, cancel 30 days before the annual term ends.
Minimum users You pay for the minimum number of users you agreed to, even if you remove users below it. To drop a user from the next bill, deactivate them 30 days before the next billing period.
Add-ons The same 30-day rule: cancel an add-on at least 30 days before the next billing period.
More than 15 users If you leave with a base user count over 15, you may owe "a monthly data storage fee to keep your account active."
Your data after you leave AccuLynx has "no obligation to maintain, store or provide" your data after termination and may delete it, unless you ask in writing, before the termination date, for a copy in "a mutually agreed upon format". It "may charge You a reasonable fee" for that.
Billing disputes Raise them with billing@acculynx.com within 90 days of the bill.

An example. Say your AccuLynx billing period ends on December 31. Your cancellation needs to reach AccuLynx by December 1 to avoid January's charge. On an annual plan, missing that window rolls you onto monthly billing at AccuLynx's standard rates.

How the free data move works

You export your own data from AccuLynx and send us the files. We bring it into EaveWorks for free, and there's no setup or onboarding fee. We never ask for your AccuLynx password or log in to your AccuLynx account.

Your users don't need moving: add your whole team in EaveWorks. Users are unlimited on every plan.

Step by step

1. Find your dates and your proposal

Look up when your current AccuLynx billing period or annual term ends, and how many users you agreed to pay for. Your proposal and your billing statements have these. Count back 30 days from the end date. That's the last day to cancel without paying for another period.

2. Start your EaveWorks trial

Start your 30-day free trial. No credit card, and every feature is on, including texting, payments and material ordering. Set up your company, your branches and your team. Users and locations are unlimited on every plan, so there's no seat count to plan around.

3. Get your data out of AccuLynx while you still have access

  • Spreadsheets of your jobs and customers. How-to guides from other software companies describe it this way: open Reports, pick a report (for example the Jobs or Sales report), set the date range to all data, choose your columns, then use Actions > Download/Export. One guide says you can pick Excel or CSV. Menu names may have changed since those guides were written.
  • Photos and documents. These don't come out in a spreadsheet. Roofing Software Guide (updated September 2026) says embedded documents and photos "may not export cleanly into a standard CSV", and that photos and documents for active jobs need to be downloaded by hand. Start with your open jobs.
  • A full copy from AccuLynx. If you want AccuLynx to provide your data, its terms say to ask in writing before your termination date. They may charge a reasonable fee.

4. Send us your files

Tell us you're switching and we'll tell you where to send your exported files. We bring your data into EaveWorks for free. You export your own data, and we work only from the files you send us.

5. Check everything and connect your tools

Spot-check your customers, open jobs and estimates in EaveWorks. Then connect what you use: QuickBooks, QXO material ordering, ABC Supply and SRS prices for your estimates, CallRail for missed-call text-back, Facebook lead ads and Fixr for new leads, and your texting number. If you measure with EagleView or Hover, import those reports into the job.

Texting in EaveWorks follows carrier rules: customers must opt in, STOP replies are honored automatically, and business texting numbers need A2P 10DLC registration. EaveWorks handles that registration for you.

6. Cancel AccuLynx in time

Use the Cancel Service button in your AccuLynx account settings at least 30 days before your period ends. Save a screenshot or the confirmation email. If you're keeping AccuLynx for a few more weeks while your team moves over, deactivate the users you no longer need 30 days before the next billing period.

7. Move your team over

Pick a day and have everyone start working in EaveWorks.

What changes when you're on EaveWorks

  • One published price. EaveWorks costs one flat monthly price by your annual revenue: $749 (under $500k), $1,490 ($500k to $1M), $2,490 ($1M to $3M) or $3,490 ($3M and up). See pricing.
  • No per-user or per-location fees. Add your whole crew and every branch for $0.
  • Included on every plan: e-signatures, unlimited two-way texting, unlimited automations, the open API, the customer portal and sharing. AccuLynx's plan page lists Smart(er) Docs (its e-sign document tool), Texting, Customer Portal and AppConnections (its app connections and API) under "Additional tools to enrich your plan", separate from its two plans.
  • Cancel any time. EaveWorks is month-to-month, with no long-term contract and no notice period.
  • Your data stays yours. If you ever leave EaveWorks, exporting your data is free.

What you might miss from AccuLynx

We'd rather you hear this from us before you switch:

  • Direct supplier ordering. AccuLynx orders from ABC Supply, SRS and QXO. EaveWorks orders through QXO (which owns Beacon) and pulls ABC Supply and SRS prices into your estimates.
  • Ordering aerial measurements. AccuLynx's plan page lists aerial measurement ordering in both plans. EaveWorks imports EagleView and Hover reports once you have them, rather than ordering them for you.
  • App connections. AccuLynx's AppConnections add-on links it to CompanyCam, Hover, SalesRabbit, RoofSnap, RoofScope, Angi, HubSpot, Hatch, Roofle and CallRail. EaveWorks connects to QuickBooks, QXO, CallRail, Facebook lead ads and Fixr, and has an open API on every plan.
  • A long track record. AccuLynx says roofing companies have used it since 2008. EaveWorks is new, and it has no customer reviews yet.
