AccuLynx vs JobNimbus: a fair side-by-side for roofing companies

Written by EaveWorks, which makes one of the products compared here. Facts checked October 24, 2026; every one links to its source below.

Last checked: October 24, 2026. We make EaveWorks, a different roofing CRM. We cover where it fits at the end, after the comparison. Every fact about AccuLynx and JobNimbus below comes from their own websites, terms, help centers and app store listings, or from a named independent reviewer. Sources are listed at the bottom.

AccuLynx and JobNimbus are the two best-known roofing CRMs, and the pair most often compared. Both run a job from first lead to paid invoice. Both connect to the big suppliers and measurement companies. Where they really differ is how you buy them, what's included, and how each one feels to use day to day.

The short answer

AccuLynx suits established roofing companies, especially insurance-heavy and multi-branch ones. They get the deepest roofing-specific workflow and a long list of integrations. In return they buy through a demo and a custom quote, and they pay per user plus optional add-ons.

JobNimbus suits small to mid-size residential teams that want to try before they buy. It has a 14-day free trial with no card, e-sign in every plan, flexible job boards, and the higher-rated phone app.

Roofing Software Guide, an independent review site, reaches a similar verdict. It rates AccuLynx stronger for "established insurance restoration contractors, multi-location operators, and PE-backed portfolios". It rates JobNimbus stronger for "growth-stage or retail-focused roofers".

Pricing: neither one publishes a price

Reviewers complain about this for both, and it's why "AccuLynx pricing" and "JobNimbus pricing" are searched hundreds of times a month.

AccuLynx says pricing "is based on the number of users and features your roofing business needs" and that it "charges a monthly subscription fee for each license". Its plan page compares Pro and Elite and asks you to request a custom quote. It also lists nine optional extras: AccuPay (payments), Customer Portal, Smart(er) Docs (proposals and e-sign), AccuFi (financing, described as a free service), ReportsPlus, DataMart, Texting, Mobile Crew App and AppConnections (integrations and API). Apart from AccuFi, none of them has a published price. Several third-party sites quote $60 to $120 per user per month. Roofing Software Guide repeats that range but says it "cannot confirm" it, so treat it as reportedly, not fact.

JobNimbus lists four plans, each capped by users: Essentials (up to 3), Pro (up to 10), Premium (up to 19) and Enterprise (20+). Every plan says "Request pricing". Plans also cap job boards, automations (10, 30, 100 or unlimited) and integrations (2, 5 or unlimited). Every plan includes estimates, documents, eSign, invoices, payments, financing, supplier integrations and QuickBooks. Two bundles cost extra: a Marketing Bundle and a Communications Bundle (Engage texting). Neither bundle has a published price.

What to do: get both quotes in writing, and make each one include every add-on you'd actually use, the minimum user count, and the payment processing rates.

Trying it before you buy

JobNimbus offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. AccuLynx's site offers a demo and a custom quote, and we found no free trial on acculynx.com. If your team wants to click around before talking to sales, that's a real difference.

Contracts, cancelling and your data

AccuLynx advertises "We don't lock you into contracts, so you can cancel anytime." Its terms of service add the details:

  • Cancel at least 30 days before your billing period ends, or you pay the next month.
  • You pay for the minimum number of users you agreed to, even if you remove some.
  • Deactivate users 30 days before the next billing period to stop paying for them.
  • Prepaid annual fees are not refundable. Annual plans renew onto monthly billing "at the then standard rates".
  • After you leave, AccuLynx has "no obligation to maintain, store or provide" your data and may delete it. You must ask in writing before your cancellation takes effect, and it "may charge You a reasonable fee". Companies with more than 15 base users may owe a monthly data storage fee to keep the account active.

JobNimbus offers "monthly or annual agreements, depending on your plan". Its terms of service (updated September 2026) add the details:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rates.
  • Give at least 30 days' notice before your renewal date. Late notice takes effect at the end of the following period.
  • Some subscriptions carry a committed minimum term. Cancel early and you still owe the rest of it.
  • Fees are non-refundable, with no credit for part of a period.
  • JobNimbus "may charge a reasonable fee for data export requests".

Accounts opened from March 2026 onward cancel or downgrade by contacting their Customer Account Executive. Older accounts start from a Cancel button, then schedule a call or fill in a form. JobNimbus advises backing up your data first, because it "does not guarantee to hold data for canceled accounts".

Either way: both companies want 30 days' notice, and both can charge for data exports. Export your customers, jobs, documents and photos before you give notice.

Setup and training

AccuLynx gives every new customer free 1:1 training and says you can be trained on the full suite "in as little as a day". Roofing Software Guide's summary of user reviews is more cautious: 2 to 4 weeks for basic adoption, and 6 to 8 weeks before a team is comfortable with the deeper features.

JobNimbus charges no required setup or onboarding fees. Paid Professional Services are there if you want help migrating data or building workflows. Roofing Software Guide says new team members typically become productive "within a few days".

Phone app

This is JobNimbus's clearest win. On the Apple App Store, JobNimbus has 4.8 stars from 13,000 ratings. AccuLynx Field has 3.8 stars from 597 ratings. Both apps are free with an account. One catch on AccuLynx: building proposals and collecting signatures in the Field App requires the Smart(er) Docs add-on.

E-sign, texting and integrations

  • E-sign: included in every JobNimbus plan. On AccuLynx it comes through Smart(er) Docs, which AccuLynx lists as an add-on.
  • Texting: both sell two-way texting separately: AccuLynx as its Text Messaging add-on, JobNimbus as Engage in its Communications Bundle.
  • Suppliers: both connect to ABC Supply, SRS and QXO for ordering.
  • Measurements: both connect to EagleView and Hover. AccuLynx also lists GAF QuickMeasure, Geospan, RoofScope and RoofSnap.
  • Accounting: both sync with QuickBooks. AccuLynx also offers Sage Intacct.
  • Other apps: both connect to CompanyCam and Zapier. AccuLynx's AppConnections add-on is required for "select third-party app connections" and its API. JobNimbus includes API and webhooks on every plan, but caps how many integrations you can use on its lower tiers.

Who each one suits

AccuLynx is likely the better fit if you:

  • do a lot of insurance restoration work. Its Elite plan adds supplement tracking, mortgage check tracking and permit tracking.
  • run several branches and need enterprise reporting (ReportsPlus, DataMart).
  • want live phone support and 1:1 training.
  • don't mind buying through a demo and a custom quote.

JobNimbus is likely the better fit if you:

  • want to try the software yourself first.
  • care most about the phone app your crews will use.
  • want e-sign, QuickBooks and the API included without add-ons.
  • run a residential crew under about 20 users.

Where EaveWorks fits

We built EaveWorks for roofers who like the full AccuLynx-style workflow but don't want a bill that grows with every user and add-on. You pay one flat monthly price based on your annual revenue, from $749 to $3,490 a month, and it's published on our pricing page. Every plan includes unlimited users, unlimited locations, unlimited two-way texting, e-signatures, the open API and the customer portal. Card payments are a flat 3% and ACH/check payments 0.5%. It's month-to-month, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card. We'll move your data from AccuLynx or JobNimbus for free.

EaveWorks is new. It doesn't yet have AccuLynx's or JobNimbus's track record, reviews or long list of supplier and measurement integrations. It also isn't the low-cost option for a two-person shop. See the full, fair comparisons: EaveWorks vs AccuLynx · EaveWorks vs JobNimbus.

Texting note: EaveWorks texting includes consent tracking and automatic STOP/opt-out handling, and opted-out contacts are never texted. It's built for job conversations, not mass texting.

Common questions

Is AccuLynx or JobNimbus cheaper?
Neither publishes prices (as of October 2026), so there's no honest one-line answer. AccuLynx charges per user license plus optional add-ons. JobNimbus prices by plan tier, user count and add-on bundles. Get written quotes from both, including every add-on you'd use, the minimum user count and the card and ACH rates, then compare the totals.
Does AccuLynx have a free trial?
We found no free trial on acculynx.com in October 2026. AccuLynx offers a demo and a custom quote. JobNimbus offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card.
Does AccuLynx still sell a $250-a-month Essential plan?
AccuLynx's plan page lists only Pro and Elite (October 2026). Roofing Software Guide reports the $250 Essential plan was dropped in August 2026, so a $250 figure you see elsewhere, including on JobNimbus's comparison page, may be out of date. Ask AccuLynx for a current quote.
Which is better for insurance restoration work?
Independent reviewers such as Roofing Software Guide give the edge to AccuLynx for insurance-heavy contractors. Its Elite plan includes supplement tracking, mortgage check tracking and permit tracking. JobNimbus documents an Xactimate integration in its help center, and says its workflows let you set up a separate process for retail and insurance jobs. If insurance is most of your work, ask each vendor to demo a supplement from start to finish.
Can I switch from one to the other?
Yes. Export your data before you cancel. AccuLynx's terms say you must ask for your data in writing before the cancellation takes effect, and to give 30 days' notice before your billing period ends. JobNimbus's terms also ask for 30 days' notice before renewal, and it says to back up first because it doesn't guarantee to keep data for canceled accounts. Roofing Software Guide suggests planning 60 to 90 days and running both systems side by side for a month.
Which has the better phone app?
By App Store ratings, JobNimbus: 4.8 stars from 13,000 ratings, against 3.8 stars from 597 ratings for AccuLynx Field (October 2026). Have your crew leads try both before you decide.
